Open for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and during the week by special arrangements.

Ideally positioned on the Taupo lakefront, with spectacular views from the hotel across the lake to the three volcanic cones of Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe. Taupo is home to New Zealand’s largest lake, where fishing for Trout exceeds all expectations, with flavours and fun that you just can’t buy.

Guests can relax and unwind in our unique style hotel rooms with half the building styled with an African Lodge Theme while the other half contains newly renovated rooms. All rooms include free wifi, tea and coffee making facilities, 40″ LED TV, Freeview and SKY TV, an ensuite bathroom, complimentary toiletries and towels, a compendium containing all relevant information needed about us.

  • Twin Studio – African Themed containing a Queen bed and Single Bed.
  • Triple Studio – African Themed containing a Queen bed and two Single Beds
  • Family Room – Queen bed and a single bunk bed in an offset separate room – Kitchenette
  • Family Room – Queen bed and a bunk bed with a double mattress on bottom and a single mattress on top – this is in an offset separate room – Kitchenette
  • Family Room – Queen bed with two Single Beds in an offset separate room – Kitchenette

Hotel Extra Information

  • Reception desk is open from 8:00 am to 9pm, late arrivals by arrangement.
  • Late arrivals after 9pm will be contacted by phone and email or booking.com (messaged) and giving information to locate their key in a lockbox and instructions to reach their room.
  • Early check-ins can be arranged by contacting us but will be charged a fee of $20 (Not always possible on busy days)
  • Emergency 24/7 contact number found in the compendium in every room.
  • Washing can be done at reception for a fee of $25
  • Car parking is limited, with it being a first come first serve basis
